Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is the heart of our company, and our acclaimed therapists are able to treat nearly any disability or injury. Diagnosing and providing treatment is simply the beginning of physical therapy at TTRC, as our therapists provide effective, cutting edge exercises and are effective motivators leading towards building a healthier, stronger body. We have therapists with specializations in many different fields, such as orthopedics, sports therapy, cardiopulmonary, and pediatrics.
Orthopedics
Orthopedic physical therapy focuses on restoring function to the musculoskeletal system, including joints, tendons, ligaments, and bones, with injuries ranging from fractures, various joint or total knee and hip replacements, and spinal deformities. Treatment methods include stretching, strength and endurance training, heat and cold therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and manual joint mobilization.
Cardiopulmonary
Cardiopulmonary physical therapy focuses on helping individuals who suffer from cardiovascular and pulmonary problems, such as heart attacks, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pulmonary fibrosis, and other conditions that limit how well the body can circulate oxygen. The goal of the CPT is to increase endurance and improve functional independence, allowing the body’s cardiovascular and pulmonary system to work less inhibited.
Pediatrics
Pediatric physical therapy focuses on the unique needs of young children with motion disabilities from injury or disease. Physical therapy often is used for children suffering from diseases or developmental problems such as acute head injuries, birth defects, developmental delays, genetic disorders (e.g., cerebral palsy), acute trauma, limb deficiencies, heart and lung conditions, or muscle disease. Therapies may include developmental activities, balance and coordination exercises, and strength and flexibility training.
Sports PT
Sports Physical Therapy is a specialized practice that focuses on prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement of the physically-active individual.Therapists assist athletes in injury prevention, and if an injury does occur, prescribing activity programs designed to evaluate and bring the athlete to full recovery. SPT’s are gifted in neuromusculoskeletal injury evaluation, recognizing types of injuries sustained through activity. In rehabilitation, the therapist implements exercise programs to restore proper function to the athlete’s injury. Evaluation of an athlete’s physical fitness is also conducted by a SPT, giving them a profile of strengths and weaknesses and giving direction to choose exercise programs that further improvement.
